Reproductive system of a woman is regulated by hormones which control the various processes in her life such as menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth and menopause. These processes largely govern the life of a woman. A woman’s reproductive health is an indication of her overall health. An optimal reproductive health is significant for a woman as it empowers her to live a life of secured sexual well-being and fertility. This, in turn, influences her mental and emotional health positively. In recent years, climate change has emerged as an important factor influencing the reproductive health of women negatively. Coupled with other factors which increase the vulnerability of women, climate change has adversely impacted women resulting in deteriorated reproductive health. This review paper analyses the direct and indirect impacts of climate change on the reproductive health of women and the factors which make women more susceptible to its impacts while highlighting the need to implement more effective strategies to address the unique challenges faced by women due to climate change.
